It's Bloomin' Beautiful in Capay Valley

The Capay Valley hills are alive with wildflowers, lush almond and walnut trees reach for the sun, Spring veggies pop up all over, and our Spanish lavender and bearded iris bring their brilliant purple passion to our fields! It’s definitely time for a lovely drive in the country – a “ramble”, maybe!

This weekend – Saturday and Sunday, April 29th and 30th – we are excited to be part of the Yolo County Spring Wine Ramble. Capay Valley Lavender will host the Simas Family Vineyard in our Distillery from 11 to 4 each day.

A blooming warm-up: As you may know, our Spanish lavender is the first to blossom, and provides a visual “warm-up” for the full flowering of our French lavender in late May/early June. We’ve been watering, weeding, mowing, and generally preparing for friends old and new to visit. As the season progresses, you’ll be able to purchase pre-cut bundles or pick your own, of course.
